Cybersecurity ad
A picture is worth a thousand words, but some words—for instance, passwords to your critical personal information—need to be completely secure from hackers.
In this national branding ad, we focus attention on Northeastern’s expertise in doing just that. Cybersecurity research is a top initiative for our country and for our university. With this ad, we wanted to emphasize our position as a federally designated research center under the joint auspices of the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security and elevate the university’s status among the people we want to recruit most: world-class research faculty and the world’s smartest, most passionate students.
The ad has run in targeted national consumer magazines and newspapers, higher-ed publications, and in Northeastern's alumni magazine.
Origami ad
This poster, sent to approximately 2,500 domestic guidance counselors in high schools nationwide, originally ran as an ad in the New York Times Magazine special education issue.
High school guidance counselors nationwide. Our goal was to catch both their eye, and that of prospective students, to further reinforce the idea of Northeastern’s unique experiential education model, and to position ourselves as a global institution of higher learning.
The image really accomplishes that goal. The house was created by hand by our design team using the origami folding technique on a world map. And the copy conveys the heart of a Northeastern education—that the best way to learn about the world is to go out and experience it.
